We all know at this time of year that the gaps between people who have and people who have not seems wider than ever; in the last two weeks alone, we have had 11 new faces – all people recently homeless and needing our help and support.
The people we support at truly have very little to celebrate this Christmas.
Often the people we work with have little, or damaged, links to family and the usual festive cheer is overshadowed by a lack of home, physical health and/or mental health needs, addiction problems or horrendous childhood experiences.
But you can help this Christmas…. By being a (Shrewsbury) Ark Angel!
Here are five ways you can be a Ark Angel this Christmas:
Donate to our Trustee fundraising campaign This will help contribute towards us buying in-house supplies, and our ever increasing energy costs, ensuring people who live on the streets have somewhere warm and dry to go during these cold winter months. Click here for details.
Give a Shrewsbury Ark gift certificate
Not sure what to give the person who has everything this Christmas? Give them one of our Gift Certificates, and to support someone who has nothing. Click here for details.
Buy an item on our Amazon Wish List Donate a heavy duty sleeping bag or warm winter coat, or other items. Click here for details.
Shop in our charity shop

Be an Ark Angel this Christmas, and help us bring some Christmas cheer to homeless and vulnerable people in our community.
Thank you to everyone who supports us – you are all angels in our eyes!
Everything we are able to do to support vulnerable people in our community is because of your generosity.
If you meet people who wonder what we do, please ask them to get in touch. We are always happy to make a cup of tea and have a chat to explain why our work is a vital lifeline to many.
We NEVER charge for our day centre services and we are funded entirely by donations and grants.
And please do spread the word about what we do; there are a lot of misconceptions about us.
